Things I found about i-RAM

Things you should know before buying Gigabyte i-RAM.

• i-RAM does not support or limited support on S.M.A.R.T. function which leads to hardware RAID reporting drive failure.
• There seems to be a faulty SATA emulation which causes limited SATA chipset support and fail to detected by Linux kernel.
• Problem supporting high density memory chip, i.e., single side RAM module.
• Does not support ECC or DDR2, only unbuffered DDR.
