I didn't know HP also recalled their notebook batteries this year.

Exploding batteries: Another battery exploded.

Another Thinkpad exploded. It's IBM Thinkpad 600 (I have Thinkpad 600x) however he bought the battery from EBay, not sure whether it is genuine IBM.

I hope IBM/Lenovo recall batteries so that I can replace my dead one for free, just like Apple and Dell users.
