More details on ACARD-9010
ACARD RAM disk comes in two models: ANS-9010 (eight DDR2 slots) and ANS-9010B (six DDR slots). Both models come with a CF slot and battery that "enough to finish the backup". I'm guessing it is not sufficient to retain data up to 10 hours like in Gigabyte i-RAM. However with my i-RAM battery died after only 10 months, I better assume the data dies when power outage.
In ANS-9010 model, it states upto 400MB/sec transfer rate. Since SATA2 support up to 300MB/sec, ACARD uses two SATA2 ports in RAID to achieve 400MB/sec (I'm just guessing here.)
Overall, it is better alternative to Gigabyte i-RAM Box which only have four DDR slots (DDR2 is cheaper and power efficient than DDR) and HyperDrive which has eight more expensive registered ECC memory slots.
